The Japanese brand Honda is preparing the third-generation Amaze for its debut on December 4, and the exterior and interior design has already been presented in official sketches.

Small sedans may be a dying breed in North America and Europe, but they're still thriving in India. At the same time that Maruti Suzuki unveiled the new Dzire, Honda released a teaser of the rival Amaze, announcing its debut on December 4.

Exterior

Honda Amazes

In its third generation, the Honda Amaze will receive a more elite style and even additional sophistication. Sketches always show an ideal version of the car with stretched proportions and exaggerated features. Nevertheless, it is obvious that the new model will look more attractive compared to its predecessor.

The front is characterized by a hexagonal grille and elongated LED headlights inspired by larger Honda models. They are joined by sportier air intakes, bumpers and a sharper cover on the hood. The tail is also inspired by the Honda City, with aggressive tail lamps with smoked clusters.

Interior

Honda Amazes

The interior looks like a miniature version of the Civic, with horizontal air conditioning vents and a separate infotainment display. The latter is likely the 10,25-inch touchscreen derived from the Honda Elevate crossover, as are the climate controls and steering wheel.

Honda should improve the safety performance of its smallest sedan by adding a large number of standard airbags and several ADAS.

Despite major styling updates, the new Honda Amaze is expected to run on the same underpinnings. The current generation debuted in 2018 based on the platform of the larger Honda City, which is also shared with the Honda Elevate.

Powertrain options are likely to include a 1,2 hp 90-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine. (66 kW), which is combined with either a five-speed manual transmission or a CVT. There are also reports of a CNG version that will be optional.
