Minister of Foreign Affairs of Israel Gideon Saar is leaving for an urgent visit to the Netherlands due to the attack in Amsterdam on fans from Israel who came to the match between the Ajax and Maccabi (Tel Aviv) clubs.

"The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Israel, Gideon Saar, is leaving for the Netherlands today for consultations with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands, Kaspar Veldkamp. He will also meet in the Netherlands with the local Jewish community," the message reads.

It is noted that earlier today, Saar emphasized that this was a "barbaric and anti-Semitic" attack on Israeli football fans.

Videos that have surfaced on social media show brutal attacks by masked people, some carrying Palestinian flags and shouting "free Palestine."

After the attack on Israeli fans in Amsterdam, 62 people were detained. Five victims were taken to the hospital.
