France will give Ukraine a new batch of long-range SCALP missiles. This was announced by French Defense Minister Sebastien Lecornu in an interview with Le Journal du Dimanche.
According to him, partners should maintain aid to Ukraine at a stable level, as this will also allow the Ukrainian authorities to consider political decisions when they decide to do so.
The government official emphasized that France will continue the training program for 2000 Ukrainian soldiers who are being trained on French equipment.
The official predicts that Russia's strikes deep into the territory of Ukraine may intensify in the winter. He added that France will hand over Mistral portable anti-aircraft missile complexes and SCALP missiles to Ukraine.
"In order to allow Ukraine to strike behind the front line, in recent days I have signed a new transfer of about ten SCALP missiles, as promised by French President Volodymyr Zelensky," the minister said.

The French and British versions of the missile are almost identical. The differences are only in software and carrier aircraft.
SCAL missiles have a range of 560 km, but there is an export version with a reduced range to 290 km and a smaller warhead.
