The Philippines was covered by typhoon "Inxing" - more than 40 evacuees

This year, this is already the 13th powerful storm in Southeast Asia.

Government forecasters last tracked Yinxing over the South China Sea, about 100 km west of the northern Philippine province of Ikolos. At that time, wind gusts of 150 to 205 km per hour were recorded.

Yinxing hit the Philippines' Cagayan province, causing flooding in villages, uprooting trees and power poles.

More than 40 residents of villages in this province were evacuated to safer places.

Meanwhile, in the northernmost province of Batanes, Gov. Marilou Cayco said, Yingxin's strong winds and rains blew off roofs, damaged seaports and two airport terminals.

There are currently no reports of casualties.

Previous Tropical Storm Trami and Typhoon Kong Ray have killed at least 151 people in the Philippines, it said. Natural disasters also affected almost 9 million more people, mainly in the northern and central provinces.

More than 14 billion pesos (US$241 million) in damage was caused to rice, corn and other crop fields, as well as to infrastructure.
