Volvo has always been associated with safety and elegant Scandinavian design. The company has long maintained a balance between practicality and discreet aesthetics. And this tradition is likely to continue in their new electric models. But what if the Swedish automaker decided to return to its design roots?

Independent artist Jordan Rubinstein Tyler imagined how the 240 Volvo 2026 concept would look, combining the company's old design solutions with modern trends.

Despite the fact that Volvo has changed its style significantly in recent years, the most iconic car of the brand is still the 200 series.

The Volvo 200 Series, which was produced from 1974 to 1993, was the successor to the equally primitive 100 series and gained cult status. It is often compared to the Nokia 3310: rugged, invulnerable and uncompromisingly utilitarian.

According to the designer's idea, in the new era, the revived "two hundred" could retain its classic features, but get great aerodynamic sophistication and advanced equipment.

The 240 Volvo 2026 sedan and station wagon received modern square headlights equipped with the signature Thor's Hammer LED light, alloy wheels, clean body lines with aerodynamic features such as "gills" on the sides, as well as hidden door handles.

The artist did not miss the interior of such cars. Inside the fictional 240, a multimedia system with a portrait display, a digital "hill", a 4-spoke steering wheel, referring to the original 200 series, was placed in a new way, and the predicted Scandinavian lighting was also found.

Given the absence of exhaust pipes in the cars shown in the renderings, it can be assumed that these are electric cars. This means that they could well be equipped with a 110 kWh battery and two electric motors with a capacity of up to 510 horsepower (within the SPA2 platform).

Of course, there is no question of any new Volvo 240 yet, but if the Swedes do think about such a project, they can easily replace the S60 and V60 models, creating a worthy competitor for the future BMW Neue Klasse.
