Many Ukrainian motorists are used to listening to the radio on the road and did not even think about the fact that it is necessary to pay somewhere. What's more, few people know that you can get a hefty fine for having a radio in your car.
In particular, such rules apply in Poland, where a huge number of Ukrainians have left since the beginning of the full-scale war. In this country, every television or radio receiver must be registered and a monthly subscription fee of 8,7 zlotys (about 90 hryvnias) must be paid for their use. You can pay 94,4 zlotys (about 970 hryvnias) immediately for a year and get a 10 percent discount.
Of course, not all Poles, and even more so, Ukrainians, pay for a radio in their car. But such drivers risk being sanctioned. Special services in Poland are authorized to check the presence of receivers in vehicles and to fine violators who avoid paying the fee. The amount of the penalty is 261 zlotys or about 2 hryvnias.
