Ukrainian artillery units managed to destroy two Russian artillery installations in Kurshchyna. Speakers of the State Security Service reported on the successful operation.
According to the information provided, the fighters of the 80th ODSHB discovered howitzers "Msta-B" and D-30, and the gunners of the 44th OAB struck the artillery installations with American M777 guns. Both targets were confirmed to have been hit by drones.
In addition, in Kurshchyna, fighters of the 82nd ODSHB destroyed the "Tunguska" anti-aircraft missile defense system. A penny FPV drone was used to destroy the complex.
The D-30 is a 122-mm towed gun installation of the early sixties with a charging device and carriage, which is designed to conduct circular fire at a range of 15-22 km with an elevation angle of the barrel from -7° to +70°.
"Msta-B" is a towed 152-mm howitzer, adopted in the eighties. It is used for firing at a range of 6-24 km with aiming ranges at angles from -3° to +70° vertically and from -27° to +28° horizontally.
The successes of the Armed Forces listed above reduced the effectiveness of Russian artillery support on the Kursk section of the front.
