This year's winter, given past trends, will most likely not be severe, but it is also worth preparing for cold periods.
This was stated by the spokeswoman of the Ukrhydrometeorological center Nataliya Ptukha during the briefing.
"Unfortunately, it is too early to talk about winter. For now, we can only talk about autumn trends", she said.
At the same time, as the Bird explained, the winter probably won't be harsh, and there will be more warm days than cold ones.
"As for winter, the trends are the same as previously announced - that there are more and more periods with warm days and fewer and fewer periods with cold days. But, as always, we do not rule out possibilities, and of course they can be - these are gulfs of cold, gulfs of arctic air. It's just their duration, nevertheless, we hope, in view of the last months (when the temperature was above the climatic norm every month, and this trend has been persisting for many years), that this year the winter will not be severe, but more soft", said the spokeswoman of the Ukrhydrometeorological center.
But, according to her, there will be certain periods of cold in the winter, you need to prepare for them:
"It is necessary to be ready for any manifestations of the weather. We have a seasonal country, such a location that both warm and cold periods can appear. It gets warmer all the same".
