Director of the Federal Security Service of Russia Oleksandr Bortnikov called the detonation of pagers and walkie-talkies of Hezbollah members in Lebanon and Syria a direct threat to the security of the CIS countries.

According to Russian Interfax, this statement was made at the 55th meeting of the Council of Heads of Security and Special Services of the Commonwealth of Independent States. The head of the FSB said that the "adversary" can use electronics to attack representatives of state authorities:

"The results of the work of the enemy's special services on the collection of information about the vulnerability of information resources and the conspiratorial implementation of "bookmarks" can be used not only for the destruction of critical information infrastructure, but also for the organization of attacks on representatives of state authorities with the help of portable electronics at the right moment.

Pagers burst

We will remind, in the middle of September in Lebanon and Syria pagers of members of "Hezbollah" were detonated en masse. The group blamed Israel for the attack, but said it had many enemies.

Western media, citing sources, wrote that Israel could be behind these explosions. A complex operation could be prepared for at least 15 years.
