Almost half of Russian citizens, 47%, believe that the invasion of Russian troops into Ukraine has done more harm than good, the highest figure since the beginning of the full-scale war against Ukraine.
This is evidenced by a poll conducted in September by the Levada Center, reports Ukrinform.
Another 28% of surveyed Russians believe that the war brought "more benefit", for 25% this question was "difficult to answer".
At the same time, the share of those who are confident in the benefits of the so-called "special military operation" initiated by Putin fell by ten points, from 38 to 28%.
The number of Russians who believe that the hostilities are going successfully is also decreasing. In February, there were 70% of such citizens, now their share has decreased by ten points, to 60%.
Already 54% of those polled spoke in favor of holding peace talks in September.
