As the cold weather approaches, the question of the beginning of the heating season is becoming more and more urgent for the residents of Ukraine. According to the established rules, local administrations take decisions on the supply of heat based on weather conditions.
As "The Wave" reminds, the key factor is the average daily temperature: if it stays at the level of +8 degrees or lower for three days, this is a signal to start the heating systems.
The capital of Ukraine is preparing for the beginning of the heating season. The mayor of Kyiv, Vitaliy Klitschko, recently announced that the supply of heat to the homes of Kyiv residents will roughly begin on October 15. However, this date is not final and may be adjusted depending on weather conditions. It is interesting to note that according to forecasts of weather forecasters, already from October 12, cooling is expected in Kyiv - the air temperature will fluctuate between 6-9 degrees Celsius.
It is important to understand that the process of connecting heating is a complex technical operation that depends not only on the weather, but also on the availability of utility services. In most cities of Ukraine, the necessary inspections and repair works of the infrastructure have already been completed, which should ensure the timely start of the heating season. Traditionally, the first to receive heat are socially significant objects: schools, kindergartens and medical institutions. Then heating is supplied to residential buildings.
