To make room for the new, you must first get rid of the old. But parting with old things is usually very difficult.
Conduct an audit
It's much easier to "take it off your heart" when you clearly understand that I don't really need it. Tell yourself honestly, what things have been waiting for their hour in the closet for months, or - what things have you not touched at all for years? You can even make a list and give yourself time to think about whether it is necessary or not.
Give things a second life
Another great way is to donate unnecessary things to charity. Believe me, if you do it once, you will change your attitude towards things in general. If we are talking about expensive "objects" (designer clothes, antiques, appliances), various online services will help you sell what you no longer use. And you will win in any case: the thing is no longer a useless burden, and you will even be able to return part of the money spent on it.
Act decisively
We are so arranged that a long decision-making can end with the phrase "I changed my mind" or "I changed my mind." They decided to throw it away - right now! A box of things has been sitting on the balcony for ten years? Just don't start looking and sorting through - everything will turn out to be "necessary" for you. But on the other hand: what is really needed is unlikely to be sprinkled in the far corner. Come up with a rule: if you haven't used a thing for six months, it means you're a candidate for departure.
