In August of this year, Ukrainian carriers purchased 598 new and used buses. This is more than 42% less than in August 2023 and almost 4% less than a month earlier. This is evidenced by the data of the Institute of Car Market Research.
According to experts, the peak of sales in the bus segment fell in the middle of summer last year, then the demand for this type of passenger transport decreased, after which a small increase in sales took place in February of this year, which changed to a decrease in volumes at the beginning of spring.
Most of the buses were bought on the domestic market: 464 units, which accounted for 77,6% of the total number.
11,5% of used buses, or 69 units, were brought from abroad.
Also, in the last month of summer, 65 new buses were registered for the first time.
