As you know, not all Ukrainians can drive a car by default. The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine reminded about the presence of age restrictions for each of the driver categories, writes "Tvoya machina".
In particular, only those citizens who have reached the age of 1 can sit behind the wheel of a motorcycle or moped (categories "A" and "A16"). Driving ATVs, cars and trucks up to 7,5 tons (categories "B" and "C") is allowed from the age of 18. You can drive a car with a heavy trailer (categories "VE" and "SE") only from the age of 19. You must be 21 years of age to drive a bus or minibus (category "D").
The department emphasized that the age restrictions were established in order to prevent people who do not yet have the appropriate experience, maturity and responsibility from driving vehicles of various levels of complexity.
