In 2024, the Ukrainian company MeGoElectric UA from Mykolaiv presented a new model of an electric truck aimed at the local business market. Known as the Courier, this lightweight electric truck weighs 500 kg and can carry up to 1000 kg of cargo. It is noteworthy that the car costs between 7000 and 8000 euros, which makes it an affordable option for small businesses.
The Courier has a range of 100 km on a single charge, which can be extended by adding additional batteries. It is equipped with a 3 kW electric motor and develops a maximum speed of 60 km/h. In addition, it does not need powerful charging stations; it can be charged using a standard electrical outlet.
In addition to the Courier, MeGoElectric UA has developed an extended version of the Liberty electric truck. It has an extended wheelbase and can carry up to 1 metric ton of cargo. Both the Courier and Liberty models have a flexible design that allows the wheelbase to be increased by up to one meter, increasing the overall length of the vehicle to 4 meters. The extended version provides more versatility, especially for businesses that need more cargo capacity, while maintaining a compact and maneuverable vehicle for city driving.
The company emphasizes that the Courier is highly energy efficient, consuming less than 10 kWh per 100 km. This low energy consumption results in running costs of just €1 per 100 km.
