The Hungarian opposition party TISZA, associated with Peter Magyar, has almost equaled the Fidesz party of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán. This is evidenced by a poll by the Median sociological company, Infopost reports.
According to the survey, which lasted from September 3 to 10, 39% of Hungarian voters who have made up their minds and are ready to participate in the elections are ready to vote for Peter Magyar's TISZA party. 43% of Hungarian voters in the same category would vote for Orbán's Fidesz.
"Thus, the difference in the support of political forces is currently only 4%, while the stated error of this study is 3,5%," the publication notes.
At the same time, the rating of TISZA grew not due to the decrease in popularity of "Fidesz", but due to the decrease in the rating of other opposition parties - none of them would currently be able to overcome the five percent electoral barrier.
It will be recalled that Peter Magyar appeared on the political scene of Hungary in February, when he accused the government of large-scale corruption and management of a centralized propaganda machine.
By the way, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban will continue to make efforts to "prevent the escalation" of the war in Ukraine. He decided to continue the initiative, which he calls a "peacekeeping mission". He announced this before the event in the city of Köce in western Hungary.
