In the Chinese city of Chongqing, a storm raged, scattering people's underwear from the balconies of high-rise buildings.
The unexpected storm brought gusts of wind up to 122 km/h, due to which people's clothes hanging on balconies were blown across the city.
Jokes about this and videos of pants and bras flying around the city began to spread on social networks.
"I just came out and suddenly it started raining hard and my underwear fell from the sky," wrote one resident, Ethel.
"Who will compensate me for my emotional damage?" - another resident joked, adding that she had lost her Calvin Klein set.
"It's actually quite romantic. You can even pick up your lover's underwear while walking on the street," another social media user wrote.
One man, who also lost his underwear, said he was "laughing like crazy" and that the Chongqing storm had turned him into an "introvert for life".
Chongqing and the surrounding region have been sweltering for more than a week due to extreme temperatures that have delayed the return to schools and universities. To lower temperatures and ease drought conditions, authorities used cloud seeding technology last week, sending nearly 200 rockets into the sky. Authorities said it worked, and it soon started to rain. But on Monday, a storm started in the city.
