Employees of the Australian Forestry Corporation during inspections discovered a clutch of marbled green eggs. They stated that this is an important ecological find.
According to write IFLScience, the eggs belonged to one of the world's rarest birds, the coastal emu. Previously, these birds were distributed throughout the north-east coast of New South Wales. But in 2002, the New South Wales government was forced to recognize the species as endangered.
Currently, less than 50 representatives of this species may live on the North Coast. Scientists discovered 10 dark green eggs. Now they will create all the conditions for the chicks to hatch.
