As a result of Russian shelling on September 12, a large-scale fire engulfed Prudyanka in the suburbs of Kharkiv. According to Oleksandr Kulik, spokesman for the Dergachivska MBA, the fire damaged or destroyed more than 20% of private households in the village, Suspilne writes.

According to Vyacheslav Zadorenko, the head of the Dergachyvska MBA, the tragedy was caused by an attack by Russian troops on the fields on the outskirts of the village. A strong wind contributed to the rapid spread of the fire on the territory of Prudyanka: the flames covered an area of about 8 square kilometers. Not only private houses were affected, but also farm buildings and cars of local residents.
Rescuers of the State Emergency Service, together with local residents, are making every effort to contain the fire and save property.
