The Tesla company announced that it plans to equip the Cybertruck electric pickup with a special "armor" for the battery, a new development will appear on electric vehicles as an option already this year.
Wes Morrill, Tesla's Cybertruck lead engineer, confirmed that the American automaker plans to offer Cybertruck owners special battery protection and special power running boards as early as this year.
It is noted that these upgrades should help owners of electric cars travel on rocky terrain, because the footboards will protect the doors and thresholds of the car, and the cover on the battery is the key source of energy for the electric pickup.
Unfortunately, the prices, exact specifications and time required to install branded accessories are still kept secret.
As previously reported by AUTOGEEK, Tesla is negotiating the production of electric trucks and vans in Italy.
