The Russian dictator dreams of destroying the existing European order by using a hybrid war, Berlin believes.
Putin does not seek peace, and on all offers to discuss this issue, he increases aggression. On Tuesday, September 10, German Foreign Minister Annalena Berbock said this at a joint press conference with her Indian counterpart Subramanyam Jaishankar in Berlin, reports Ukrinform.
She noted that the issue of establishing peace for Europe is the main one.
"For the past 2,5 years, we have been making every effort to bring peace at least a millimeter closer," she said.
Burbok noted that "Russia responds to all this with new terror, new suffering and deaths."
"From the European point of view, for these 2,5 years, Putin's only answer is: 'I want to destroy Ukraine,'" the diplomat pointed out.
She noted that the Russian Federation was invited to the second peace summit, but Moscow refused, which "shows that the Kremlin continues to seek to destroy Ukraine and the existing European order, using hybrid warfare."
"Therefore, one should not be naive and when Putin talks about peace, he just wants to get a break in order to accumulate strength, completely take over Ukraine and threaten other countries, such as Moldova. Putin imagines only the peace that will be dictated by him," Burbok said.
