About 10 emergency service workers are involved in rescue operations in Lower Austria. They rescue people from roofs, pump water from houses, and clear roads from fallen trees.
Austrian Chancellor Karl Neghammer added that more than 2 military personnel were involved in helping the rescuers.

In addition, ORF writes that army helicopters have been deployed to help, dropping sandbags to cover one of the breached dams.
