If you are tired of mint or fried potatoes, make a roast. But bake not in pieces, but in an accordion. Everything is done very simply. Instead, the dish turns out to be unusual both in appearance and taste.
You will need:
- 4 large equal potatoes;
- 100 g of hard cheese;
- 40 g of butter;
- 2 cloves of garlic;
- 3 tbsp. olive oil;
- 0,5 tsp. Italian herbs;
- 0,5 tsp. mixture of peppers;
- 0,3 tsp. salt
To make accordion potatoes, the first thing to do is peel the garlic cloves. Rub them on a small grater or cut them with a knife. Mix with Italian herbs, a mixture of peppers and pour oil. Mix everything and set aside for the time being, so that the oil can permeate the aroma of herbs and garlic.
Cut the hard cheese into very thin slices. Wash the potatoes thoroughly under running water. The skin does not need to be cleaned. Dry the tubers with a paper towel.
Make cuts across the potatoes at a distance of 5 mm from each other. Just make sure that you don't cut it completely, but only make a deep cut. It is better to put a teaspoon under it so as not to miss. Remove a block of butter from the refrigerator and cut it into thin slices.
Insert into the cuts in the potato through one. Grease a baking dish with sunflower oil and lay out the potatoes. Brush each tuber with olive oil infused with herbs and garlic. Try to rub so that the oil gets into the cuts.
Cover with foil. Place in an oven heated to 200 degrees for 45 minutes. After that, get the form. Remove the foil. Put pieces of cheese in the slits. Return to the oven and bake for another 20 minutes.
Check the readiness of the accordion potatoes with a knife. If it sticks out easily, it means you can pull it out. Before serving, sprinkle with any chopped greens. You can use Provencal herbs instead of Italian herbs. Or use ready-made seasoning for potatoes.
