Milk. It contains the amino acid tryptophan, which the body converts into serotonin, a neurotransmitter that affects mood and sleep. If you are not lactose intolerant or allergic to dairy products, a glass of warm milk in the evening can help you sleep better, Jess Bloom said.

Chamomile tea. This drink has a natural sedative effect that can help relax muscles and reduce anxiety, which also makes it easier to fall asleep. The ability of chamomile tea to induce a feeling of relaxation is confirmed by research. It also has other health-improving effects – for example, it has a positive effect on blood sugar, improves the protection of body cells from oxidative stress.

Tea with lemon balm. Melissa belongs to the mint family, has a lemony aroma and is often used as a natural remedy for anxiety and sleep problems. The specialist specified that tea with lemon balm, which is useful to drink in the evening, should not contain caffeine.
