He charges extra for beatings.
A Spaniard came up with an ingenious way to make money - to spoil a wedding by pretending to be the lover of the bride or groom and offering to run away together.
Ernesto, the middle-aged man behind this strange service, became the talk of Spain after he appeared in a viral video posted on TikTok.
He claims that while most people consider their wedding day the happiest of their lives, for some it is a nightmare. And these few people are his clients.
For a base fee of €500, Ernesto promises to ruin a client's wedding and pretend to be the love of his life, begging them to run away together, only to cancel the event.
"If you have doubts, don't want to get married or don't know how to say no, don't worry anymore, I'll cancel the wedding for you," Ernesto says in the video.
- You only need to tell me the time, place and date, and I will show up for the ceremony. I'll say I'm the love of your life and we'll run away together, holding hands."
Apparently, the service started as a joke, but after requests from interested parties poured in, Ernesto realized that he was on to something.
He now charges €500 for event disruption, which does not include travel costs, but he is paid extra in case of unforeseen incidents. For example, if he is slapped, punched or kicked, he gets more. Each slap brings him 50 euros.
"Each slap costs 50 euros. I try to run, but I know that every time I get hit, I get paid more. So if I can run slower, I run slower. This is how I earn my money," explained Ernesto.
Ernesto's service turned out to be quite popular and now he allegedly has a fully booked schedule until November 2nd.
