If you are not one of those ladies who are always in a hurry, who begin to sign up in horror at the nearest salon for a pedicure, only when they have torn the satin sheet standing on their heels, this material is for you.
Here we have collected cool life hacks. But for them to work, a system is needed. Let's write a simple plan for a month and build it into a beauty routine. Agreed? We went to try it.

Every day
Cleansing the skin of the feet
This is a terribly banal idea: you need to wash your feet. But even here it is better not to let things go by themselves and not to use household soap.
We soap our legs separately - yes, they do not have enough gel that flows from the body when we wash in the shower. A micellar product is best for cleaning your feet: any foam with micelles or even the cheapest make-up remover jar that will need to be washed off with a shower gel.
If the skin on your heels is prone to cracks and folds, dust, dirt, and even lint from socks will inevitably get stuck in them. Micelles bind dirt and easily remove it from hard-to-reach places - feet will be clean and fresh longer.
Nutrition and hydration
Another thing that should fit into your daily routine is a foot cream. You should not use one product for hands, feet and body - usually, it does not have enough active ingredients to break through the dense skin of the feet. We choose a specialized product taking into account special needs.
So, look for your option.
1. If your feet are wet, often sweaty and, as a result, cold, you need means to control sweating: various antiperspirants and drying sprays. In winter, take note of balms with a warming effect, for example, with camphor. Your feet will immediately become drier and more comfortable.
Well, try to give up nylon tights and synthetic socks - wet legs will thank you, and the toes will not be deformed.
2. For very dry leg skin that is prone to cracking, apply a butter — a cream with a dense oily structure that melts from body heat, or a paraffin cream. Under them, for a greater effect, you can apply a moisturizing gel or milk, for example, with aloe, lavender, urea and similar components.
A dense agent will create an occlusive film under which the light active will work better and stay longer. After a month of use, you will see a clear difference.
3. If the cracks do not bother you, but the skin on the surface of the heels is noticeably peeling, your choice is an oily thick foot cream with lanolin, glycerin, coconut oil and similar additives. The tool softens the scales, due to which they stop sticking out and with regular exfoliation, they simply stop flaking.
However, it is worth looking at what exactly provokes the formation of scales, and remove this factor. These include nylon pantyhose, flip flops, rubbing with pumice stone, walking on sand and dirt with bare feet, dehydration — hello, smokers, caffeine addicts, and those who don't drink wine with water.
4. When the feet ache after wearing uncomfortable shoes at work, and it is impossible to change them (for example, because of the dress code or safety equipment - yes, yes, a similar effect as from heels can be caught in protective shoes with a metal toe), use a cream in the evening or gel with venotonic additives and menthol. The skin will quickly moisturize and cool, and you will feel better.
Weekly
Scrubbing
This is a mild option for exfoliation of scales, which can be safely used once every 7-10 days. It is better to choose professional scrubs with safe delicate particles.
The scrub should be used after washing the feet and be sure to apply care after it.
Filing
With this method of removing excess scales, there are many nuances, in fact.
You can't saw your heels with pumice stone, otherwise there will be thrash, chad and scales that tear socks in 2-3 days.
You can remove protruding skin only with files (such as graters or even ordinary manicure files), passing them along the pattern of the skin (in no case in different directions!) And only on dry (there is one exception, we will talk about it a little below).
You should not use this method of processing more than once a week, otherwise there is a risk of sawing to living skin and provoking such hyperkeratosis that it will be difficult to walk.
Every month
Once every 4 weeks, almost all types of feet need exfoliation of the growth. We can do it at a master's (hardware, preparation or combined method), or we can do it at home.
Many questions fly in about the hardware pedicure itself — is it possible, how to do it, and what are the pitfalls. Well, girls, we do not advise.
Dusty skin, red heels, scales next door, and it is very unpleasant not to walk but to put on socks! The discomfort does not come during the creative process with the handle of the device in your hand, but a little later, when you stand on your feet.
If you want to do a pedicure at home, we suggest you take a closer look at the products that soften the soles of the feet.
Such softeners can be acid or alkaline based. Apply them specifically to the problem areas, wait strictly according to the instructions (if you overdo it, a burn may occur) and carefully cut off the softened skin with a pedicure file or grater (this is the only case when we can treat wet skin).
After the procedure, wash off the product thoroughly and apply a cream so that the aggressive agent does not dry out the skin.
Nothing complicated, right? If you can fit such a scheme into your beauty routine, after a couple of months your feet will become unrecognizable!
