The French company has started road tests of the 5 Citroen C2026 Aircross. After the change of generations, the crossover will be extensively updated. Moreover, according to information, the French model will be a 100% electric car. The crossover prototype has already gone on road tests. However, the official presentation of the French novelty will take place in the second half of 2025.
The test prototype of the C5 Aircross completely repeats the design solutions that are implemented in the current model, which is equipped with a hybrid installation. But this does not mean that Citroen has given up on redesigning the body. This is how the prototype for testing the suspension and aggregates, using the body of the current generation car, was put to the test.
The published photos show that there are no exhaust pipes at the stern. This directly indicates that the fully electric version of the crossover was tested. Also, the battery protrudes slightly from under the bottom.
According to rumors, the French model will enter the market with a battery with a capacity of 86 kWh. It is expected that it will provide a range of 500 kilometers. The crossover will come with one and two electric motors, the characteristics of which are still unknown. Most likely, Citroen will not limit itself to reviewing the technical part, and will also redo the body and interior.
