The leader of Germany's SSR party, Sara Wagenknecht, proposed a plan that involves ending the supply of weapons to Ukraine in exchange for Russia's promise of a ceasefire at the front.
She told about this in an interview with Tagesspiegel.
Wagenknecht said that after stopping the supply of weapons to Ukraine, the West will have to negotiate about the situation in the areas where Russian troops are currently stationed. In addition, she proposed holding a referendum under the supervision of the UN in Donbas and Crimea to find out which country the local residents want to join.
It will be recalled that German Chancellor Olaf Scholz stated that Germany does not plan to supply long-range Taurus missiles to Ukraine, despite demands from Kyiv. He explained that Germany is refusing to supply because the weapons discussed by the United States and Great Britain have a greater range than what Germany supplied.
