The White House is finalizing work on a plan to ease some restrictions on Ukraine's use of US-provided weapons.
The possible permission of NATO partners for the use of long-range weapons by Ukraine against targets in Russia corresponds to the norms of international law. German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said this on Friday, September 13, DW reports.
"International law allows this," Pistorius noted, adding that the United States and Great Britain have the right to independently make decisions about weapons supplied to Ukraine.
It should be noted that Kyiv insists that Ukrainian forces need missile weapons, since not all targets on the territory of the Russian Federation can be hit by drones.
Canada fully supports the idea of allowing Ukraine to use long-range weapons against military facilities on the territory of Russia.
