The army of Belarus began to receive modernized "Hradi"

A batch of BM-122B "BelGrad" 21-mm RSZVs has been prepared for the army of Belarus. The relevant equipment is a local version of the Soviet BM-21 "Grad", said the speakers of the Belarusian military industry.

Modernization works were carried out at the "2566 REV repair plant". Currently, the installations have passed acceptance tests and are ready to be transferred to the active army. The exact number of MLRS delivered has not been disclosed, but the published images suggest at least 2 units.

Modernization included the development of a stabilization/leveling mechanism. In addition, the loading platform was lengthened to accommodate racks for 40/60 ammunition and faster preparation of the second volley. A cabin or a remote control panel can be used for fire control.

Modernization work started in May 2020, and the first tests were carried out in December of the same year. In the summer of 2021, the novelty successfully coped with state tests and was supplemented with new means of communication of Belarusian production.
