No matter how much effort we put into organizing space, often all efforts quickly come to naught. Why is it so and what are our everyday actions that constantly spoil our efforts to maintain order in the house?
RBC-Ukraine (Styler project) found out how to get rid of habits that prevent you from maintaining order at home.
Papers are scattered everywhere
The mailbox is regularly filled with a variety of correspondence, most of which is advertising or junk mail. Some people immediately sort these papers, while others leave them all over the house, promising to sort them out later.
If you are inclined to the second option, train yourself to collect all the papers in one place. An even better solution would be to place a trash can next to the place where you usually throw advertisements and brochures. This will help to get rid of unnecessary things faster and maintain order.

Leave clothes on the chair in the bedroom
After a hard day, many find it difficult to find the strength to neatly hang clothes on hangers or put them in drawers. That is why a chair or an armchair in a room often turns into a place where clothes accumulate.
To solve this problem, buy a laundry basket with a lid. When guests come over, you can quickly hide dirty clothes in there, and on a normal day, just keep the lid open to immediately put things in there that need washing. This is especially convenient when you are very tired and don't even want to lift the lid.
If you are used to leaving clothes on the chair that you plan to wear again, put a few hangers nearby in the places where you usually change. When everything is at hand, maintaining order becomes much easier.
Throw everything in the closet indiscriminately
This method is familiar to many: when you don't know where to put things, just throw them in the closet. However, such a habit not only does not help to organize the space, but also often makes it difficult to find the right things.
Try to organize the storage system in the closet with the help of organizers. Fill both the upper and lower shelves with them. With such a system, you will no longer be able to simply throw things on the shelf - you will have to place them in the appropriate compartments.

Buying things for which there is no room
If you notice that there is less and less space in the kitchen, living room or bedroom, it may be time to reconsider your attitude towards shopping.
Try to implement a simple rule: each new thing must replace one old one. For example, did you buy a new sweater? Then it's time to get rid of one of those you no longer wear and donate it to charity. This habit will help you avoid the accumulation of unnecessary things and make your space more organized.
By giving up small, but harmful habits, you can significantly improve the organization of space in the house. It is important to systematically observe your actions and create convenient solutions for yourself that will help maintain cleanliness and order every day.
