Potatoes are a product without which almost every Ukrainian cannot imagine their diet. Potatoes are used in soups, side dishes, pancakes, filling for dumplings and pies, and many other things.
We bring to your attention another very tasty and interesting potato recipe. Potato patties according to this recipe are very tasty and nutritious.
Necessary ingredients:
- potatoes - 500 g;
- eggs - 1 pcs.;
- paprika - 1 teaspoon;
- greens - bunch;
- corn starch - 2 tablespoons;
- salt, pepper to taste;
- breadcrumbs;
- oil for frying.
Method of cooking:
Peel the potatoes, cut them into large pieces and boil them in salted water until tender.
Drain all the water from the boiled potatoes and puree them. Add finely chopped greens to the potatoes. Dill, parsley, green onions are ideal. We also add paprika, pepper and a pinch of salt. Add starch there. Corn starch can also be replaced with potato starch. Mix everything thoroughly. The result is soft dough, which must be twisted into a "sausage" or into such a shape that triangles come out when cut.
Cut the resulting "sausage" into patties 0,5-1 cm thick. Beat an egg with a pinch of salt in one bowl, and pour breadcrumbs into another. Roll each piece on both sides, first in egg, and then in breadcrumbs.
Fry the potato cutlets on both sides in a large amount of hot oil. You need to fry on medium heat, without covering it with a lid.
Place the finished patties on a paper towel to remove excess fat. Serve this dish with sour cream or your favorite sauce.
