From toys and books to clothes and shoes, everything needs a special place, otherwise it will quickly become a mess. At the same time, storage systems should be quite simple, because they are designed not only for adults, but also for children.
RBC-Ukraine (Styler project) has collected practical ways of storing children's things.
Store things in boxes with stickers
Whether you're using them to store toys or out-of-season clothes, bright boxes will help your kids stay organized.
Located at a height convenient for the child, the boxes are easily placed in the closet. Even greater practicality can be achieved with the help of hanging labels with the names of categories ("dolls", "constructor", "cars", etc.). Labels clearly indicate where your children can find their favorite toys.
Place a toy basket by the bed
Place a fabric basket at the end of your child's bed for easy storage of soft toys. The rest can be collected in boxes or placed on shelves, while the basket will contain the child's favorite toys that can be quickly found.
Hang toys on hooks in mesh bags
Hanging bags easily free up floor space and prevent clutter. Kids can see most of their toys inside, plus things can be sorted by category.
Put things in a bag with handles
If children often go to children's parties or visit relatives, make transporting toys a hassle-free process. Use a sturdy canvas or vinyl bag with handles for storage.
You can put your favorite things there to quickly gather when you go to visit your relatives.
Separate the place for games with a wall
Making a playroom out of a children's bedroom is quite simple, especially if the room is large. Small spaces require a little creativity. If you live with an open plan and don't have a separate playroom for the kids, some creativity is required.
Use open shelves or cabinets with toys, separating part of the living room and placing a rug in front of the furniture. That way, the kids can play while you cook or work.
Keep things under the bed
There is usually a lot of free space under the bed or sofa, which can be used to store things so that they do not clutter up the space. Simple movable and compact containers can easily replace a typical toy box, fit under the bed and do not interfere with cleaning.
In addition, the light design and wheels of the container make it easy to remove toys.
Allocate closet shelves for a certain category of things
Keep things organized in your closet by using each shelf for specific items.

Try keeping board games on the top shelf, books on the second, and craft supplies on the bottom. In addition, to make it easier for the child to remember where things lie, you can add stickers with the names of objects to the door.
Attach the shelves to the wall
Shelves with side parts or even drawers turn free wall space into valuable storage space. The narrow but sturdy design is ideal for storing books and magazines.
At the same time, the shelves should be set low so that even the smallest child can find his toys and put them away on his own.
Install a cabinet for things for sleeping
You can put your child to sleep with the help of favorite books with bedtime stories, which can be kept near the bed. You can also put a lamp so that the child can read even if the room is dark.
The simplest cabinet can be made by fastening two boxes placed one on top of the other. Or use your crafting skills and make a wall-mounted bedside table by adding a door.
Use storage containers
To reduce dust on toys, look for storage containers with lids.
The transparent plastic makes it easy to see what's inside, and these containers can also be rearranged in a closet.
