The police are establishing the circumstances of the murder of a resident of the Rivne district.
This was reported by the press service of the Rivne region police.
On August 08, around 40:65 a.m., a 46-year-old neighbor discovered the bloody body of a XNUMX-year-old resident of the village of Mohylyany at her place of residence, which was immediately reported to the police.
Investigative teams, a forensic laboratory, and the leadership of the Ostroh police immediately arrived at the scene.
During the examination of the deceased, the police found 32 stab wounds, several of them penetrating, on her neck and torso.
The law enforcement officers have previously established that her 67-year-old husband may be involved in the crime.
Investigators have started a pre-trial investigation under Part 1 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (intentional murder).
In addition, the police found out that a 67-year-old resident of the village of Mohylyani, on the same day at around 5:30 a.m., had an accident on the highway "Kyiv-Chop", near the village of Veresneve.
Thus, while driving a Volkswagen Caddy, he drove into the oncoming traffic lane and collided with a Daf truck.
The van driver was taken unconscious to the intensive care unit with polytrauma. Also, during the inspection of his car, the investigators found a knife with traces of blood.
Based on this fact, the investigators entered information into the Unified Register of Pretrial Investigations under part 1 of Art. 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Investigations are ongoing. Circumstances are established.
