Consequences of strikes on the Gaza Strip

Attacking critical vital infrastructure is a war crime, the European Union emphasized.

The European Union calls on Israel to cease fire in the Gaza Strip and comply with its obligations under international law. This was stated by the high representative of the EU for foreign affairs, Josep Borrell, according to the website of the European Union.

"We strongly urge the Israeli government to refrain from actions that worsen the living conditions of the civilian population in Gaza and to comply with its obligations under international law. An immediate ceasefire is urgently needed to end the plight of civilians in Gaza, including the Israeli hostages," the diplomat said.
