According to Ukrainian traffic rules, turn indicators on the front and rear of the car must be yellow. This became especially relevant after cars from the USA with red turn signals began to enter the market en masse.
In 2017, new requirements for the technical condition of vehicles were introduced, which precisely determine the color of signal lights. According to clause 6.1.5 of the STATE STANDARD, turn signals must be yellow. Failure to comply with this rule can cost the driver 425 hryvniasraft, as specified in Part 2 of Article 122 of the Code of Administrative Offenses.
Not only the color of turn signals can cause a fine. Drivers who choose to change their headlights to brighter ones may also face fines. Installation of xenon, halogen or LED headlights instead of standard ones is considered a violation of traffic rules.
This is due to the fact that such headlights can create a danger for other road usersabout traffic, especially at night.
