The company Lucid presented the first serial sample of the new Gravity electric crossover. The electric car rolled off the assembly line at the plant in Casa Grande, Arizona.
Lucid CEO Peter Rawlinson shared a production video of the brand's second model rolling off the Arizona production line.
The crossover was officially presented in November. The company said the new Lucid Gravity "harnesses the dawn of a new era for electric SUVs" with a range of more than 700 km. Lucid's full-size electric crossover has a luxurious interior with three rows of seats and enough space for seven adults.
Following the production launch of the Gravity, the American automaker plans to enter the mass market with a new mid-size electric car to compete with the best-selling Tesla Model Y. It is expected to be introduced in late 2026.
After setting a new record for shipments in the second quarter of this year, Lucid hopes to maintain that momentum. In the second quarter, Lucid delivered 2394 cars, which is 22% more than in the first three months of 2024.
