Geomagnetic storms are classified by power level — the K-index — from 2 to 9. The higher the K-index, the stronger the storm and its consequences and impact on people and equipment.
The magnetic storm that has been raging for the last week does not give up its positions. On Saturday, August 3, and Sunday, August 4, solar activity with a K-index of 6 (red level) is expected - a strong magnetic storm that can affect the well-being of weather-dependent people.
Note that the forecast may change, as researchers of solar activity update their data every three hours.
