Serbia condemns the Russian invasion of Ukraine and supports the territorial integrity of Ukraine.

This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, Marko Đurić, during his visit to Latvia, writes the Serbian publication RTV.

Djuric emphasized that Serbia voted for all UN resolutions in support of the territorial integrity and independence of Ukraine.

"We are trying to express solidarity with the Ukrainian people: we understand their suffering, because we also had to go through difficult times in the 90s of the last century," he said, adding that Serbia fully supports the observance of the UN Charter and does not accept the use of violence.

The diplomat also noted that 93% of all humanitarian aid sent to Ukraine from the Western Balkans comes from Serbia.

"Ukraine is a friendly country for us that respects our territorial integrity and our national sovereignty," Djuric said, referring to Ukraine's refusal to recognize Kosovo's independence.
