All of us are used to adding potatoes and bread to meatballs, as our mothers and grandmothers used to do. These ingredients are added to make the finished meat products more lush and juicy.
It's worth considering what is better - potatoes or bread. Here's what experienced cooks think about it.
Details
Lush and juicy cutlets will turn out if you add vegetables. Bread, especially dry, absorbs excess moisture from minced meat.
For cooking you need:
- minced meat (preferably a mixture of pork and beef) - 400-500 g;
- potatoes - 2 pcs.;
- egg - 1 pcs.;
- onion - 1 pc.;
- breadcrumbs, salt, pepper to taste.
How to cook
Peeled raw potatoes and onions should be grated on a fine grater, remove excess liquid, mix with meat and add an egg.
Then you need to thoroughly mix the minced meat. According to experts, the perfectly prepared semi-finished product does not leave traces on the walls of the bowl.
By the way, sometimes it is not recommended to add a chicken egg. There is an opinion that the protein makes the finished patties denser, but this is a matter of taste.
Then it remains only to form patties, roll them in breadcrumbs and you can fry or bake in the oven.
