The import of used cars to Ukraine continues to develop actively, in particular due to the availability of such cars in comparison with new ones. Ukrainian consumers increasingly choose used cars, especially those up to 5 years old, which are in good technical condition. Recently, there has been a growing interest in electric cars.
According to Ukravtoprom, since the beginning of 2024, more than 30 used cars up to 5 years of age have been imported into Ukraine, which is 27% of the total volume of used car imports. Of these, 40% have gasoline engines, 10% have diesel engines, 7% have hybrids, and 39% have electric vehicles.

- Tesla Model 3 – 1860 units
- Mazda CX-5 – 1012 units
- Nissan Rogue - 1008 units
- Hyundai Kona – 983 units
- Volkswagen Tiguan – 903 units
- Volkswagen Golf – 774 units
- Volkswagen ID.4 – 681 units
- Audi Q5 – 618 units
- Nissan Leaf – 600 units
The growing popularity of electric cars, such as Tesla Model Y and Model 3, as well as Volkswagen ID.4 and Nissan Leaf, shows the increasing interest of Ukrainian buyers in environmentally friendly transport.
Used cars up to 5 years old attract Ukrainian buyers with an optimal price-quality ratio. They are much cheaper than new ones, but at the same time they do not require significant costs for repair and maintenance, which is especially important in conditions of economic uncertainty.
