Traditionally, the model will be sold in China. Buyers will be offered a choice of six body colors and two modifications, both with the 2.0 turbo four. On the X3 25L xDrive version, the engine produces 190 horsepower and 310 Nm of torque, on the X3 30L xDrive – 258 horsepower and 400 Nm.
BMW presented the X3 G45 with a stretched wheelbase (+110 mm). The model is intended for China, and it will be assembled there, at the BMW Brilliance Automotive plant in the city of Shenyang. Veganza interior upholstery, BMW Iconic Glow contour lighting for the radiator grille, a media system based on BMW Operating System 9 and the M Sport package will be standard for the crossover. The list of options includes Crafted Clarity glass trim in the cabin and the Sky Lounge panoramic roof.
There are two modifications: X3 25L xDrive and X3 30L xDrive. Both come with a 2.0 gasoline "turbo four", which in the first case produces 190 horsepower and 310 Nm of torque, in the second - 258 forces and 400 Nm. The gearbox is an eight-speed automatic. In Europe, the new X3 has a version with a diesel "four" (197 hp, 400 Nm), a hybrid X3 30e xDrive (299 hp, 450 Nm) and an X3 M50 xDrive version with a "turbo six" 3.0 (381 hp, 540 Nm).
The predecessor of the new X3 was BMW's best-selling model in 2023. About 156 crossovers were sold in China alone, which accounted for 40 percent of the total sales of X-models in the country. The SUV of the new generation should become even more attractive, as it has received a number of specific options and digital services created especially for customers from the Celestial Empire.
