The new generation Audi A6 is presented. Now such an index is carried by a family of electric cars, which includes a liftback and a station wagon.

The new generation Audi A6 is based on the Premium Platform Electric (PPE), which is also the basis of the Q6 e-tron and the "second" Porsche Macan. Moreover, the A6 e-tron is the first PPE model with a completely flat floor. The novelty is characterized by outstanding aerodynamics: the Cd coefficient for the Sportback is 0,21, for the Avant it is 0,24. The optimization of the air flow around the front and under the bottom, as well as the side view camera of the second generation, which added the folding function, helped to improve the indicator.

Another innovation of the A6 e-tron is advanced optics. In front, it is two-story, matrix; rear on organic LEDs OLED 2.0 with 450 segments. They are controlled by a separate software module and special algorithms that draw images several times per second. The lights are equipped with a proximity sensor and can warn of dangers with icon symbols. The owner of the A6 e-tron will have a choice of eight special light signatures, as well as the option to order an illuminated logo on the stern.

In the cabin, there is a curved OLED panel that combines a digital instrument panel (11,9 inches) and the main display (14,5 inches). For an additional fee, a separate screen for the passenger (10,9 inches), a projection display with augmented reality and a panoramic roof on polymer-dispersed liquid crystals will be offered. Multimedia A6 e-tron supports third-party applications and is updated "over the air". And the voice assistant is deeply integrated into the on-board network, can learn itself and give some ChatGPT requests.

There are two modifications. The initial A6 e-tron performance is equipped with one electric motor on the rear axle, the power is 367 hp. Such an electric car accelerates to "hundreds" in 5,4 seconds and can travel up to 756 kilometers on a single charge. This figure for the twin-engine S6 e-tron is slightly lower - 675 kilometers. But the Esca accelerates to 100 km/h in 3,9 seconds, and its maximum speed is higher - 240 km/h compared to 210 km/h in the A6 e-tron performance.




The battery is both there and there with a capacity of 100 kWh. It is charged from the column of direct current with a capacity of up to 270 kW, with alternating current - up to 11 kW with the prospect of doubling the capacity. The A6 e-tron uses a new internal chemistry that has increased the specific energy density by 30 percent. Heat from the battery is dissipated through a cooling plate integrated into the body, and the battery itself is made part of the power structure.

Orders for the A6 e-tron and S6 e-tron will begin in September. The order of prices is as follows: 75 euros for the A600 Sportback e-tron performance and 6 euros for the A77 Avant e-tron performance. The "charged" S250 Sportback e-tron will cost 6 euros, and the S6 Avant e-tron - 99 euros. Later, they promise to add a cheaper version with an 500 kWh battery to the range.
