The first wind power plant started operating in Transcarpathia.

This is reported by the Derzhenergonadzor, reported by Inshe TV.

According to the report, the station is currently operating in test mode with a capacity of 1,8 MW. It is equipped with a 4,8 MW turbine, has a tower height of 120 m and a rotor diameter of 152 m. One such wind turbine has the potential to provide electricity for up to 3 households.

The total installed capacity of the planned wind farm will be 80 MW. The amount of electricity that will be produced is enough to supply 50 households annually.

The launch of this facility is an important step in the development of wind energy in Ukraine and contributes to reducing dependence on traditional energy sources, the Derzhenergonadzor stressed.
