Iran has chosen a date to avenge the murder of Ismail Haniya
Tehran wants to take revenge on Israel on the day of mourning of the Jewish people in a little more than a week.
Iran intends to strike Israel on August 12 and 13 on Tisha Be'av, the day of mourning for the Jewish people. This was reported by The Jerusalem Post on Saturday, August 3.
The publication quoted Sky News Arabia, which cited Western intelligence sources as saying they have evidence that Iran plans to launch an attack on Israel on Tisha Be'av, which falls this year on August 12 and 13. Iran's attack will be carried out in response to the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh.
It is also reported that the Iranian attack is likely to be coordinated with Hezbollah, an Iranian-backed terrorist group established in Lebanon.
It is noted that an attack on Israel on the holy day of mourning can have an emotional and psychological impact on Israelis.
Tisha Be'av is one of the saddest days in the European calendar. It is a day of national mourning, dedicated to the memory of the destruction of the First and Second Temples in Jerusalem.
