Probably, every woman would like her eye makeup to remain fresh and effective until the moment it is washed off. But it often happens that even high-quality eye shadows are not very stable. The reasons can be different: from weather conditions to individual skin characteristics. But there are several ways to increase the durability of shadows (besides using an eyeshadow base).
Do not use greasy cream
Before applying makeup, do not apply an oily cream to the eyelids and the area around the eyes. Replace it with a serum - it has a lighter texture that will prevent further make-up from "floating".
Degreasing
Before applying shadows, degrease the skin of the eyelids (especially if you have oily skin). You can use both a dry sponge and a cotton pad slightly moistened in micellar water for this purpose. This technique will remove excess fat from the skin, which will allow shadows to last longer.
Powder
Apply a thin layer of powder over the shadows to set them on the lids. It is better to apply the powder with a brush - this way it will lie on the shadow with a thin, weightless veil, without covering or muting the color. Do not ignore this life hack if you prefer cream eyeshadows - their texture is wet, such eyeshadows can only be fixed with a dry product. Powder is the most optimal option.
Concealer
In its absence, the base under the shadows will be replaced by concealer. Apply it on the eyelids in a thin layer, let it dry and lightly powder it, and then paint the eyes. The durability of such makeup will be 6-7 hours.
Correct application
It is important to remember that, regardless of how you apply shadows (with a brush, an applicator or even a finger - against the last option, by the way, even makeup artists have nothing against it and actively use it), the movements should not be smearing, but killing . So the pigment penetrates deeper into the skin and stays on it longer.
