Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 was announced at the Snapdragon Summit on October 25, 2023. The next day, Xiaomi announced its flagship series Xiaomi 14 in its country and it was available in a few days. The latest news from tipster Yogesh Brar claims that Xiaomi will once again offer Qualcomm's next-generation flagship chip, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, before anyone else.
The guide notes that Xiaomi still has exclusive rights to the first launch of its flagship Snapdragon chip. It is followed by OnePlus and iQOO. This means that the Xiaomi 15 series could be the first to offer the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip. The next two phones, according to the information, should be the OnePlus 13 and the iQOO 13 respectively.

However, if you live in the US, you'll still have to wait until January or February for the next Galaxy flagship to experience the next Snapdragon flagship on the Oryon processor. They may also continue to add some tweaks to the clock speed and "for Galaxy" branding like they have in the past two years.

While the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is already powerful enough to handle almost all of your tasks, the 8 Gen 4 will be the first to boast Qualcomm's new custom core. The Oryon processor cores in the Snapdragon X Elite processor are reported to outperform most desktop processors in terms of both processing power and energy efficiency. With all that, this is Windows-on-Arm, a completely different platform, and the comparison is also with desktop processors. We'll have to see how it performs on next-gen Android flagships.
