Phone Motorola with the model number XT2401-2 recently received domestic radio approval in China and all signs point to this being the upcoming moto X50 Ultra. Set to launch in China in May, the phone will be the first phone from the Motorola with an emphasis on artificial intelligence (AI) features.
The Chinese version of the Moto X50 Ultra is expected to have key changes under the hood
Although the design looks almost identical to moto Edge 50 Ultra, available in other markets, the Chinese version is expected to have some key differences under the hood. For reference: the international moto Edge 50 Ultra is equipped with a powerful Snapdragon 8S Gen 3 processor, IP68 water resistance and a stunning OLED display with a frequency of 144 Hz and perforation with a single hole in the center. This curved screen has a resolution of 2712×1220 and an impressive brightness of 2500 nits.
The camera system is also solid, with a triple-lens setup on the back: a large 1/1,3-inch 50MP main sensor, a 64MP telephoto lens with a 72mm focal length, and a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens. Rounding out the package is a decent 4500mAh battery with support for 125W fast wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
The Chinese moto X50 Ultra is rumored to focus on improvements in certain areas other than hardware. These include localized tweaks to AI capabilities for better performance in the Chinese market, system optimizations likely tailored for popular Chinese apps and services, and potential integration of Lenovo Xiaotian, the popular AI personal assistant service offered by parent company Motorola.
