The Chinese company DJI recently presented its first power plants with a new patented SDC (Smart DC) port, which can quickly charge the batteries of various devices and, in particular, drones. The Verge writes about it.

The $1000 Power 699 model and the $500 Power 379 model have multiple AC and DC inputs and outputs. Both power plants are equipped with batteries capable of maintaining 80% capacity after 3000 charge/discharge cycles. It is noteworthy that the ability to switch them in 0,02 seconds makes them suitable for use as a source of uninterrupted power in unstable networks.

The 1000W Power 1024, in addition to the SDC and SDC Lite ports, is equipped with two USB-C ports, each of which supports a maximum output power of 140W, while the AC outputs can output up to 2200W.

The power plant is fully charged in just 70 minutes with a maximum power consumption of 1200 W. The weight of the station is 13 kg.

Each SDC port can also be used to recharge the power station with up to 400W of solar panels, but only after purchasing the DJI Power Solar Panel Adapter Module.

The SDC port can also be used to charge the power station from a car cigarette lighter. To do this, you need to purchase the DJI Power Car socket and the SDC power cable (12V/24V).
