I will give you a practical example that happened to me. Even at the beginning of my career, a few years ago, I had the same question as you: what programming course to choose. I even started reading a free course that was well known at the time (the name doesn't matter). I did it because it was free, you know, lol. As a result, I watched the classes for a week, and the teacher was just dying... she only asked for likes, likes on her pages and blah blah blah....
Then a friend sent me to a paid course for a full-stack developer from the company. This was one of the best investments in my life. After studying an infinite number of programming courses, I was finally able to learn in a simple and objective way, without involvement in the process.
Returning to our context, I wanted to give this example that happened to me to explain to you that often the course can be free and have no value. Of course, the reverse is also true.
